Senior Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant

Part Time (c50% exact hours to be agreed)

FTE salary £30-£35k pro rata


A chunk of this job will the standard bookkeeper tasks like posting invoices and journals, maintaining cashbooks, reconciling bank accounts,  managing pay runs, and doing the payroll. So we want someone who is willing to roll their sleeves up and keep on top of that across a portfolio of different clients. But we also want someone who is able to do more. You will lead on one of our long standing clients straightaway and there will be scope for this part of the role to develop.  This could suit someone with all round bookkeeping experience looking to make the step up or someone with management accounting experience looking for a new challenge.


You should have experience / skills in the following areas;

·         SME accounting packages especially Xero / Sage 50 / QuickBooks

·         MS Office especially Excel

·         Payroll and liaison with HMRC

·         Management accounts

·         Explaining finance to non-finance staff


Experience of charity accounting and donor reporting is desirable but not essential.


Initially your time will be split between our (home) office in Dartmouth Park NW5 and clients' premises and after the induction we would expect to move to part of the job being home based if preferred.  You will work closely with the Director of ASC who will provide day to day to support where necessary. There is also scope for the job to expand as new clients come on board.
